Commercial Refrigeration Technician
A commercial refrigeration technician is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining refrigeration systems in commercial settings. We're always interested in growing our team of friendly, professional technicians.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Processing and completing work orders: Interacting with clients to understand their equipment needs, ordering necessary parts for installation or repairs, and writing up tickets for billing purposes.
- Installing systems: Setting up climate control systems, refrigeration units, and beverage equipment.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and fixing issues with refrigeration systems, including mechanical failures and leaks.
- Maintenance: Performing regular preventative maintenance, such as cleaning and replacing components.
- Compliance: Ensuring all work adheres to local building codes and safety procedures.
- On-call rotation: May be required.
- Travel: On occasion.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in refrigeration or HVAC helpful.
- Certification in HVAC helpful.
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and to climb ladders.
- Current unrestricted Virginia driver's license.
