Commercial Refrigeration Technician

A commercial refrigeration technician is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining refrigeration systems in commercial settings. We're always interested in growing our team of friendly, professional technicians.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Processing and completing work orders: Interacting with clients to understand their equipment needs, ordering necessary parts for installation or repairs, and writing up tickets for billing purposes.
• Installing systems: Setting up climate control systems, refrigeration units, and beverage equipment.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and fixing issues with refrigeration systems, including mechanical failures and leaks.
• Maintenance: Performing regular preventative maintenance, such as cleaning and replacing components.
• Compliance: Ensuring all work adheres to local building codes and safety procedures.
• On-call rotation: May be required.
• Travel: On occasion.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience in refrigeration or HVAC helpful.
• Certification in HVAC helpful.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle heavy equipment and to climb ladders.
• Current unrestricted Virginia driver's license.
